Ina Garten

Ina Garten is the host of the Food Network
program Barefoot Contessa. Garten originally worked in the White House on nuclear energy policy, but abandoned that job after acquiring
a speciality food store on Long Island called Barefoot Contessa. By the time she sold the store to her employees two decades later, it was seven
times its original size. She went on to write several cookbooks and columns for Martha Stewart Living and O, The Oprah
Magazine. Her Food Network show, which shares its name with the specialty store, focuses on hearty, guest-oriented food.
Garten is married to Jeffery Garten, former dean of Yale's School of Management, now Juan Trippe Professor in the Practice of
International Trade, Finance, and Business.
